Genevieve Sullivan Featured on ROLLER: What Drives Guests to Return
Guests Want to Feel Expected, Not Surprised
At TrainerTainment, I spend my days helping family entertainment centers strengthen three things: sales, service, and leadership — and ROLLER‘s 2026 Pulse Report backs up everything I’ve seen out in the field.
A few stats that jumped out: 56.4% of guests say a consistently great experience is the #1 reason they keep coming back (more than price or rewards), 92.7% say atmosphere and vibe matter to their visit, and 77.5% say staff and service quality directly influence whether they return.
Here’s the thing: good guest experience, atmosphere and service quality don’t happen on their own. The intention you put behind these things is what makes the difference. It starts with clean, welcoming first impressions, it’s shaped by whether your team is hired and trained to actually deliver your core values, and it shows up in the small stuff, like staff who notice a guest “prairie-dogging” and looking around for help before they have to ask.
And word of mouth? It’s still your best marketing. 61.8% of guests are likely to recommend a venue they enjoyed. They’re not recommending a discount, they’re recommending a feeling: we had fun, and it was worth it.
If you only do one thing this year, take a real look at your core values and training materials and build a plan to keep them current. That’s where guest service either starts or stalls.
